Hail to the Doofus-in-Chief!
"There is No Stable Genius Behind the Curtain!": Ukraine, Russia, and Recent News
Yup, you heard it here first: Trump has ended the war in Ukraine within his first 24 hours in office!
Just kidding. 6 months later, and Putin has completed some of his deadliest attacks since the start of the war.
Contrary to Trump’s statements during (ahem) this past June, Putin is not a “very kind” man. Never mind a man who really, really, really wants peace in Ukraine.
“I don’t want to say he’s an assassin,” Trump said today, “but he’s a tough guy.”
Wow, what a bold statement. For him to take so long to say something as mealy-mouthed as that tells you all you need to know about Trump and Putin.
Has Donald not looked into how Putin’s political opponents have that weird habit of getting poisoned, getting shot, or falling out of windows? Putin is not just a “tough guy”; he is an assassin and a psychopath obsessed about Ukraine, pure and simple.
But I digress. Earlier in the month, Trump apparently finally realized that he (no, Donald, not we; we are not French) “got a lot of bullshit thrown at him by Putin.”
More specifically, Trump has told the story of how his “conversations with him [Putin] are always very pleasant, and then the missiles go off that night.”
Good thing Melania pointed this out to him, or else maybe Trump would have never even gotten to this juncture.
A truly insane state of affairs. And the bizarre laughter amongst the Trump Administration people after Trump told the story was just the whipped cream frosting on the Crazy Cake.
And Trump wants to pretend that Putin didn’t play him 100 times worse than Putin ever “played” Clinton, Bush, and Obama combined?
We have had more than 20 years of Putin now, and Trump hasn’t learned the first lesson that anyone today has ever learned about Putin: don’t trust anything the man ever says. Don’t listen to the tale he’s selling you. Look at what he does.
Now, in theory, perhaps I should be encouraged with Trump’s ultimatum of either peace in 50 days or heavy Russian tariffs/sanctions. But I am not so sure. Why? Because I remember Donald Trump threatening sanctions months ago—and never following through.
I remember him saying that he was pissed off at Putin months ago, and I remember people telling us that Trump was really going to do something this time. This time, they would declare, Trump’s bizarre bromance with Putin is over.
I remember the Truth Socials, the famous empty “2 weeks” threats (which he made and abandoned routinely), and the pausing of aid at just about the best times for Russia possible.
After all this continued humiliation of Trump, after this heavy bombing of Ukrainian cities, Trump has decided to give Putin 50 days? 50 more days for Putin to continue his vicious assault on Ukrainian cities?
50 days for Trump to change his mind and abandon the whole idea? I mean, forget 50 days—Trump changes his mind 50 times in 1 day!
Be skeptical, folks. Now, I am not saying Trump has gotten tired of Putin absolutely humiliating him. Any man short of a Russian agent should be tired of that.
That’s not what ought to shock you. What ought to shock you is that Trump took this long to see the obvious. Let me put it this way: either Donald is a complete moron or he is deliberately slow walking needed help to Ukraine.
Neither option makes Trump look particularly good.
At any rate, we know one thing for certain: Trump is the fool, not the one doing the fooling.
