Article Recommendation: The Case for a Vice President Cooper
From The Political Pulse of America
For those of you who don’t know, my brother Michael has been putting out some fantastic content lately. Tonight, he just put out a great article on the case for a Vice President Cooper. Ironically, Governor Cooper (of North Carolina) officially took his name out of the veepstakes tonight.
However, there was a reason Democratic Party heavyweights like Rep. Jim Clyburn of South Carolina and former Democratic National Committee chair Howard Dean seemed especially supportive of Cooper entering the campaign.
If anything, preliminary reports suggest that Cooper himself scuttled VP talk as early as a week ago—mainly out of concern “that [Republican Lt. Gov.] Mark Robinson could mount a legal challenge over executive authority during Cooper’s absences, based on the state’s constitution.”

We can only hope Governor Cooper will change his mind someway somehow. It has been an unpredictable election cycle, so who knows? At any rate, I highly recommend you read Michael’s excellent take on the matter.
